Welcome back! Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to Fox and Friends on Friday, Nov. 14, where she revealed the reason behind her month-long absence. PHOTOS: Celebrity health scares! Hasselbeck, 37, told viewers on the conservative morning news program that she had quite the health scare when a tumor was found in her abdomen. Doctors, initially fearing that it could be cancerous, told the former View co-host that it had to be removed by month's end. Later, the tumor was determined as not cancerous. "I had a scary week when we didn’t know what the results were," Hasselbeck said. "But I'm okay…everything came back okay. Surgery’s not fun, but it is necessary to find out if you have something really terrible." “We really didn't see it going any other way,” the Lizzie McGuire alum, 27, told Health magazine in its December issue. “We have a 2-year-old together. We love each other. Obviously it wasn't a rash decision that we made. We really are just trying to figure out how we are the most happy — whether together or apart — and we're doing it as lovingly as possible. We would hang out without Luca; we think it's important to keep a strong relationship no matter if we're married or not married. And we love our son. We both want to fight for happiness.”

Couple That Lost Twin Baby Weds at Bedside of Surviving Infant

A Texas couple coping with the loss of one of their twin babies got married at the bedside of the surviving infant in an emotional hospital ceremony.

Kristi and Justin Nelson said their vows Tuesday at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth next to their 2-month old son, J.J., who was dressed in a tuxedo onesie and served as the ring bearer.

"We couldn't leave him out of our wedding," Kristi Nelson told ABC News today.

"It was a dream come true," she added. "I could not have wished for it to be any more perfect. The main thing was having our son there by our side. It meant the world to us."

This past summer, the source adds, was the breaking point for the actress, who was juggling working on the Netflix hit in Baltimore and then spending weekends in Los Angeles with her and ex-husband Sean Penn's kids Dylan, 23, and Hopper Jack, 21. Following in the footsteps of Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, and Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Wahlberg threw his health out the window and lost a shocking amount of weight for his role in the upcoming thriller The Gambler. At the AFI Fest premiere of the film in Hollywood on Monday, Nov. 10, the two-time Oscar nominee opened up about his decision to drop 60 pounds to play college professor and high-stakes gambler Jim Bennett. The fictional story, based on the 1974 film of the same name, required Wahlberg to be “as thin as possible,” according to director Rupert Wyatt.

“I went from 197 to — the lightest I’d ever been in a movie was in Boogie Nights, I was 138 — so I wanted to beat that,” the 5’8” star said at a post-screening discussion. “I beat it by a pound, so 137. I was losing weight while we were shooting the movie too so continuity kind of went out of the window.”

“No energy, no nutrition, and the studio, there was a complaint about that, that my lips were always looking blue,” Wahlberg said. “What the f—k do you want me to do? I haven’t eaten anything! If you make them red, I’m going to look weird, like I’ve got lipstick on, so it is what it is.”

The Lone Survivor star, who had recently bulked back up for his role in Transformers: Age of Extinction, had four months to drop the pounds, which he continued to do throughout filming.

Well, it's safe to say that Bruce Jenner's mom, Esther Jenner, is not a fan of his estranged wife Kris Jenner. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, the former Olympian's 88-year-old mom let loose her thoughts on Kris being a "controlling monster" and how she doesn't approve of Bruce's rumored womanly transformation.

"I have to be truthful. One thing I'm not, I'm not a phony, and I get in a lot of trouble sometimes for saying it like it is," Bruce's mom reportedly began the no-holds-barred interview, which took place in her Idaho home. When asked by the Daily Mail if Kris is a "controlling monster," Esther replied: "That's accurate. I don't know why she is. I don't think she treated anybody very well. She could insult you with a big smile on her face. What do you do with a person like that? You're going to avoid them if possible. She was backstabbing as far as my grandchildren were concerned, and that is something I can't stand," Esther added of her son's wife of 23 years. "She's domineering — it's do it her way, or there's no way. I had very little to do with Kris. I stayed away from her as much as I could."

Brave baby elephant survives 14-lion attack

A one-year-old elephant survived an attack by 14 lions at Zambia's Norman Carr Safaris Chinzombo Camp. The elephant had strayed from its mother, but after a struggle, he managed to safely flee the lions.

The video was captured (and narrated) by journalist Jesse Nash, Long Island University art professor Dan Christoffel, naturalist Steve Baker, and Australian TV star Nina Karnikowski, who were all on a safari when they witnessed the scene, according to the New York Post.

The elephant, nicknamed Hercules by the safari guides, has since been reunited with his family. --Meghan DeMaria
