Laverne Cox Weighs In on Teresa Giudice's 15-Month Sentence in the Orange Is the New Black Prison

OITNB meets RHONJ. Laverne Cox weighed in on Teresa Giudice's looming prison sentence while speaking to reporters at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday, Nov. 10, in NYC.

The actress, 30, who's best known for her portrayal of Sophia Burset on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, was asked by reporters whether she had any advice for Giudice, who will report to the Danbury, Connecticut prison camp come January.

"Well, I think the reality is that playing an inmate on television is very different than actually be incarcerated," Cox mused. "I wish her the best and I know it can't be easy for her and her family."

As previously reported, veteran New Jersey Housewife Giudice will serve 15 months' jail time for fraud charges at the prison camp, which serves as the inspiration behind OITNB. She will serve her sentence first, reporting to the facility on Jan. 5, 2015. Her husband Joe Giudice will then carry out his 41-month prison sentence so that one parent will always be home with their four daughters Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, andAudriana, 5.

Cox isn't the only celebrity to weigh in on Giudice's upcoming sentence. NeNe Leakes stopped by Watch What Happens Live! on Sunday, Nov. 9, where she revealed that the two have been chatting.

"Teresa and I have had lots of conversations," Leakes revealed. "We've talked a lot. She called me for some help with some other things and I helped her out."
