Paul Rudd has a seriously heroic doppelganger. The Anchorman
actor was believed to have helped take down a drunk homophobic
passenger at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Thursday, Oct.
23, but according to Rudd himself, it wasn't him.
After photos were released of the brawl, a handsome man in a blazer
was mistaken for Rudd, 45, sending the Internet into a frenzy and
causing the hashtag "#PaulRuddSavesLives" to trend on Twitter. However,
Rudd's publicist clarified to the UK's Daily Mail that the man was simply a look-alike.
Rudd, for his part, was busy cheering on his beloved Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
According to local news affiliate WTSP, the unidentified man in the
airport attacked a man in a pink shirt, yelling: "Queers is what I am
upset about! This f----t right here!"
After kicking and punching the victim, the man was tackled by Rudd's doppelganger and others and arrested.
