Think she has a Pinterest board, too? Angelina Jolie clearly had her own ideas about what kind of celebration (and dress!) she wanted when she married longtime love Brad Pitt on Aug. 23 -- but she nonetheless looked for inspiration as many other brides do, in wedding glossies. Months before she walked down the aisle at Chateau Miraval in France, the A-list superstar stocked up on bridal magazines at a newsstand in Hollywood, an onlooker tells Us Weekly.
Jolie, 39, apparently stopped by the Daily Planet back in May, during the lead-up to her big Maleficent premiere. While there, the eyewitness says, she purchased a stack of wedding-themed mags (including Martha Stewart Weddings!), as well as "a ton" of greeting cards.
It's unclear what, if any, ideas the By the Sea director-actress gleaned from the glossies, but her wedding to Pitt, 50, was certainly one for the books. As revealed in Hello! magazine this week, Jolie walked down the aisle to her groom humming "Here Comes the Bride," in a white silk-satin dress and a veil, which was adorned with drawings from their six children -- Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 6.
"I wanted the kids to be a part of everything, including the dress, because that's our family," the third-time bride explained to Hello! of her custom Atelier Versace gown. "That represents the way we live out life together."
Each of the kids had a role in the ceremony, too. Maddox and Pax walked their mom down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne tossed flower petals, and Shiloh and Knox carried the rings.
"It's a wonderful feeling to be married," Pitt and Jolie told Hello! of the special day. "The children are so happy."
