Don't expect to see Audrina at LC's wedding! Former Hills star Audrina Patridge revealed whether she still keeps in touch with her former costars on MTV's reality series, while appearing on Fashion Police Monday, Aug. 4.
"Being with each other on the show, it brought us all together," Patridge, 29, reflected of her costars Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Heidi Montag on The Hills, which aired from 2006 to 2010. "Once the show ended we all kind of went our separate ways."
As witnessed by Hills viewers, Patridge and Conrad encountered numerous rough patches in their friendship. After the series was over, Patridge wanted a clean slate.
"I needed a break," she said of life after The Hills. "I was burnt out. I really needed time to figure out who I was and what I wanted."
Patridge—reaffirming what was previously expressed by Cavallari and Conrad—admitted to Joan Rivers that the show's complex storylines and dramatic love triangles were sometimes fabricated. "You have producers telling you who to be friends with, how to act, what to do everyday, what to say," she explained, "and you lose who you are."
While certain plot twists were indeed made up, Patridge said her real-life friendships with some of the stars still remain intact. "I still talk to Kristin and Heidi every now and then," she said.
Cavallari, on her end, gushed about Montag last December.
"I have to say, Heidi is one of the sweetest, nicest girls I think I've ever met," Jay Cutler's wife, 27, told Bethenny Frankel. "She has such a good heart, and I really mean that. I think she just got caught up in all the hype, which is easy to do. I mean, I get it. When I was 18, I probably got caught up in the hype a little bit, too. But she's still the same person inside. I still talk to Heidi all the time."
